Olin was born on 8 March 1869 in Attala county,, Mississippi. He was the son of James David Unger and Elizabeth Julia Ann Holman. He married Florence Inez Burton on 16 April 1896. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. John M. Ramsey.. Olin died in 1927 in West Point,, Clay county,, Mississippi. His body was interred in 1927 in West Point,, Clay county,, Mississippi, in Greenwood cemetery. Olin is buried in Section C-1 lot 17 beside his wife and a sister and brother and the brother's wife and their two children.. Grandaddy had a retail store, and also was a cotton buyer. Mother had a collection of foreign coins that he had saved, as people offered them for their purchases. I still have a one dollar gold piece from that collection.
