Jessie was born in 1924 in
Baton Rouge,, Louisiana. He was the son of
Jesse Clark Suduth and
Agnes Caroline Unger. He married
Betty Jean Womack in
Paris,, Texas, on 3 August 1947. Jessie died on 21 January 1996 in
Baton Rouge,, Louisiana. Clark died at Batorn Rouge Gemeral Medical Center. His body was interred in
Baton Rouge,, Louisiana, in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Clark served in the U.S.Army during World War II at Camp Maxey, near Paris, Texas. There he met his wife. He earned a degree in journalism at the University of Houston. He became the executive director of the American Cancer Society in Oklahoma City, Okla..He returned to Baton Rouge and as a Certified Life Underwriter sold insurance for many years. He was election commissioner-in-charge of East Baton Rouge Parish voting precincts.
