Lowell was born on 23 December 1901 in
Kipling,, Beauregard Parrish,, Louisana. He was the son of
William Neal Stracener and
Olla Van Brook. He married
Mable Alberta Cathryn Unger in
Tchula,, Holmes county,, Mississippi, on 18 June 1925. Lowell died on 24 January 1973 in
Baton Rouge,, Louisiana, at age 71. His body was interred in
Baton Rouge,, Louisiana, in Roselawn cemetery.
Graduated Louisiana State University with a degree in agriculture. Chancellor, Alpha Zeta honorary Agriculture fraternity. Valedictorian, LSA. Worked nights for Standard Oil Company of LA while in college, after graduation continued to work for Standard Oil, Esso,Humble, & Exxon where he took early retirement. Became Administrator of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. Served as Deacon, Sunday School leader and Executive Board member. Was a Mason & Red Cross of Constatine.
