Allie was born on 19 July 1897 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Fletcher Anderson Savage and Margaret Ann Chandler. She married George Edward Taylor on 9 October 1918. She married David Otto James. Allie died on 6 April 1951 in Paragould,, Arkansas, at age 53. Her body was interred on 7 April 1951 in Jonesboro,, Arkansas, in Oaklawn cemetary.
Aunt Allie was a telephone operator. The thing I remember about her is that she was the over night operator. This was in the days before any kind of dialing. When you made a telephone call at 2 am she was there to ask "number please". She was the only one in the building. She had a cot where she could lay down between calls. Sometimes she had me stay over night with her.
