Emily's parents, George and Harriet took the 2 oldest children (George and William) to raise. They moved to Nebraska and were given the Martin family name. These brothers and sisters were reunited by the 1940s. The youngest was never found. ....

Richard and Emily married in 1872. There were 6 kids. Emily abandoned the family and took the youngest child with her in abt 1881.
